A Nice Little Detail For You To Check Out....

Ordinarily I don't care too much about the
switch plates showing.  In other words,
I think they should disappear....but
in the right room, these would look amazing!

A wonderful large vintage tray and perfect on an ottoman-
in front of a fire filled with goodies.

Love this small metal side table.

French styled day bed

Zinc top table that could be used in many spots.

Beautiful Handmade Porcelain Flowers by Elizabeth Prince

These delicate wall sculptures were formed by hand from high-fired white porcelain.

Porcelain has a beautiful translucent quality shown in the image where it is held up to the light - some of the light shines through the flowers.

Antiquing Weekend

at Fearington Village barn.
It is snowing as we turn in with clear skies ahead.

The barn

Always attracted to samplers and the bluebirds are unusal-

I love this original
blue painted chest.

Great old crock to serve and keep cool liquids with lots of blue
decoration

Old Metal hat used as part of a trade sign

The gun is HUGE!  Another part of a trade sign.

Unusual butter pat mold with carved cow.

Other goodies

I love this old folk art drawing.  It just
makes you smile.

There were lots of old hand forged iron work.
I collect heart-shaped things.

Hand forged iron lizard
Different representations were made to ward off evil spirits.
The snakes are interesting too.

Feather ware- the blue edges were painted using a feather. The leaf shaped
bowl is unusual.

As we leave the barn the snow starts again.
A great day with lots of treasures.
